Celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
This Sacrament is celebrated at the following times,

  • St. David’s, Dalkeith :- Saturday evening from 5.20 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. before Vigil Mass.
  • St. Luke & St. Anne’s, Mayfield :- Saturday morning from 9.30 a.m. before and then immediately after 10.00 a.m. Mass.
  • In either parish, at any suitable time by request.

Parish News and Events.

Children’s Sacraments.
• There will be a parents’ meeting for children preparing for their First Holy Communion this year (usually P4 children), on Monday 27th November at 6.30 p.m. in the Hall at St. David’s church.
• There will be a meeting for parents of children preparing for their first confession (the Sacrament of Reconciliation – usually P3), on Monday 4th December at 6.30 p.m. in the Hall at St. David’s church.

Justice and Peace.
There will be a meeting in Rosehill on Monday 27th November at 7 p.m., with a speaker from St. Columba’s parish Justice and Peace group, giving encouragement and inspiration to help us set up a Justice and Peace group in our parishes.

Mary’s Meals.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for some wonderful Christmas hampers!
Proceeds will go to the Mary’s Meals ‘Double the love’ appeal - any donations to Mary’s Meals between now and December 31st will be doubled by three generous donors.

Philippines teas and coffees donations amounted to £163. 38.

Candles are on sale after Vigil and Sunday Masses in November. Still £2 each.

Storehouse Project.
Many thanks, once again, to all who contribute on a regular basis to this charity.
Now that Christmas is nearly upon us, this is a 'wee' reminder if anyone would like to give a special 'foodie treat' to the children.

Saturday 2nd December - St. Davids Primary are hosting a Christmas  Fayre in the school hall from 11-2 p.m.
All members of the community are welcome.

Sunday 3rd December…
Pantomime tickets can be picked up at St. David's Church hall after 11 a.m. Mass.
The first rehearsal for the Nativity Play during the Children's Liturgy.
Instead of bacon rolls we will be offering soup and pies (all proceeds to the Lourdes fund).
Children's Christmas Party 1.45 - 2.45 in the hall - please remember every child must have a ticket.
This is to avoid disappointment (we don't want Santa forgetting anyone).

Saturday 9th December - St. Vincent de Paul Society
Christmas Party for the Senior Citizens
of St. David’s and St. Luke & St. Anne’s Parishes will be held in St. David’s Church Hall from 12 noon until 5.00 pm.
Lists have been placed at the back of each church for the names of people wishing to attend.
There are also lists for volunteer drivers to take the people to and from the party.

Sunday 17th December - Nativity Play.
This year's Nativity play (time to be confirmed).
If your child/children would like to be involved, the parts will be allocated on Sunday 26th November (during the Children's Liturgy), the first rehearsal will be on Sunday 3rd December.

Teas & Coffees - the next available Sunday to book for a Good Cause is in January 2018.
