Cycle Club

The cyclists in the parish have set up a cycle club and will be running fun rides for family type cycling on a regular basis through 'Summer'. Membership is free to parishioners and friends.

• Watch out for the notices announcing a fun ride, come along and take part if you have a bike.
• Printing an entry form and bringing it with you filled in will make it quicker in the hall before the ride!
• Please note -
.....under 18s must also be accompanied by a cycling parent or guardian.

Next ride,
• Sunday 5th October 2014 - St. Davids Parish Fun Cycle Ride No. 33
...(meet first in the church hall and sign in for the ride from 1.40 p.m.).
...2.00 p.m. Drive to Innerleithen, park and unload the bikes.
...

The club can also run one off rides mid week or during school holidays, please give your suggestions to the secretary for consideration.

The club is affiliated to the CTC which gives us the benefit of the £10m organiser/ride leader insurance and lots of best practice guidance and information for running our club and rides. Also, club members can each join the CTC as affiliated members for £16 a year which gives
• Third party insurance for all their rides.
• A CTC membership card giving access to a wide range of discounts and benefits.
• The weekly CTC email newsletter, "cycleclips".

CTC site is an oasis of cycling information in the desert of a car centred society.
There you will find guidance and the latest versions of forms such as the Risk Assessment.

Some of the club documents are available below for reading and download as PDFs.
