Macmillan Coffee Morning
Many thanks to all who helped prepare the Macmillan Coffee Morning last Wednesday.
The sum of £520 was raised to help support the incredible work of MacMillan.
This Sunday, 13th September :-
- Pro-Life home baked scones, teas and coffees in the hall after Mass.
- Baptism
May God bless always Julia Wlochal and her family, who will be baptised this Sunday in St. Luke’s church.
- RCIA
We are about to begin our preparation for those wishing to be baptised or come into full communion with the Church next year (RCIA.)
There will be a meeting for those interested this Sunday 13th September in the parish room at St. Davids at 4.30pm.
If you know anyone who would be interested please let them know.
Rest in Peace.
The funeral Mass o fthe late Vanda Staszek will be on Monday 14th September at the 10am Mass at St David’s, thereafter to Newbattle Cemetery.
May she now Rest in Peace after her long life.
Youth Group.
The parish youth group is this Friday 2-4 p.m. in St. Davids Hall.
Young people of the parish are always welcome.
Mass with the African Community
Celebrate Mass with the African community in Fife at 2.00pm next Sunday 20th September at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, East Port, Dunfermline.
Light refreshments will follow in the parish hall after Mass. All welcome.
Venerable Margaret Sinclair Pilgrimage.
This year's pilgrimage takes place next Sunday 20th September
at St. Patrick's Church in The Cowgate, Edinburgh.
It's the annual opportunity to come together to pray for the Beatification of the Venerable Margaret Sinclair, entombed in the Sacred Heart chapel at St. Patrick's.
Schedule:
12:30pm- Sale of candles & goods, refreshments;
1:30pm- Holy Hour(exposition and benediction);
3:00pm- Reflection from Canon Jock Dalrymple;
4:30pm- Mass celebrated by Archbishop Cushley (Homilist: Fr. Michael John Galbraith).
National Youth Pilgrimage.
The National Youth Pilgrimage (for ages 18-35) will take place on Saturday 26th September at Pluscarden Abbey.
This year’s pilgrimage will focus on religious and monastic life and will include a tour of the Abbey, a Q&A with the monks, talks on vocation, and a Vigil Mass with Archbishop Cushley.
Young people are invited to travel with the Archdiocese.
